That wasn't my implication at all. If you go back and look at my first post, the point I was trying to make was that there are stupid people on all ends of the ideological spectrum.

Now, we could have a long conversation about how one party has spent 40 years beating people over the head with a "media bias" argument that leads a certain segment of the population to trust email forwards or radio talk show hosts more than credible sources of information, but it would be extrapolation on my part and not at all what my original point was.

And, for the record, the girl's grandpa is a really, really intelligent guy. Also a bit of a bigot and not a terribly nice person to be around for folks he doesn't like. But, for some reason, he has taken a shine to me.
