Well, I can't help but yet again envision the death of our trade.
The newest trend in my neck of the woods? Colleges and their SIDs posting highlight reels, post-game interviews and video recaps on — you probably guessed it — YouTube.
Keep in mind I'm in a college town and cover a lesser conference. So sometimes we're the only ones around for some of these games.
Not so anymore.
No longer do kids, parents and fans have to wait for the paper in order to find out not only the results, but reactions.
It used to be the media could help the schools image — and hinder it when the negative stories occurred. Not so anymore. This day and age, they don't even us.
