This is such a dumb story, except for the end, where Don Mattingly talks about he did a similar thing in high school and was grounded. But I'm not sure where the "investigation" comes into play.

Didn't someone on here once put Ethier in his very top list of all-time sports assholes to deal with? I was surprised that he had climbed so far so fast, but maybe I shouldn't be.

How times have changed. When Templeton did that, it turned the whole city of St. Louis against him, and a possible HOF career was sidetracked for good.
