Now that was funny, but you can suck it. I saw U2 in concert last December and it was awesome. Best big venue show I have ever seen and I have seen a ton.
Is Bono a pompous ass? Yes. Dude flew his favorite hat first-class from England to Italy. Didn't even take up a seat. The pilot put it in the cockpit, so no one would touch it during the flight.
Does he good works? Yes. Does he slip into whoredom when promoting himself or his projects? Yes.
Is U2 the greatest band ever? Umm, no. But much of their music is pretty good and they really are awesome live.

Maybe he feels by paying less taxes more money can be funneled towards awareness and directly to the cause. But, hey, why not call the guy a hypocrite? It is often easier to tear down those that do a few good deeds than to try and make yourself a better person.
