Am I and everyone else who finds Josh Hokit’s “Michelle Obama is a man” overreacting?

A guy says it’s just a wrestler’s promo and if I get mad over it, I’m the mark.
You need to stop associating with guys who say things like that.
You need to stop coming here and whining about the inane people in your life.

Hokit won his Cro-Magnon match, had obviously rehearsed the moment and that was the best his brainpan could come up with.

Am I overreacting to it (as are other liberals) and when we react is the joke on us?
Jesus **** no. The black woman as a man is one of the most racist and persistent tropes in this country. It is couched in hatred and ignorance. And to stand on the lawn of the White House and say something so vile about a former first lady is really f****** over the line.

And let's boil it down - when people are assholes and say asshole things in SP's life, his reaction - to think, "Gee willikers, maybe my reaction is an overreaction. Let me run to SJ.com and see what people say" is part of the problem. It empowers these assholes in his life to be assholes. because people don't call them on it.

If he was to do the most reasonable and mature thing, and say, "Hey, **** you and your asshole ways. I'm out of your life," maybe - just maybe - these people could get a nugget of self-reflection and realize they are being assholes and need to change their ways and behavior, before all the "normal" people in their life cut them out.

I'll also pick the most likely option, that he has no real person in his life who this episode is based on, it's a fictional strawman, created to be able to come here and say, "Guess what this guy said? ..." as part of his schtick and character.
