In my state about half the people pronounce "for" as "fir".

You'd have been immortalized for that.

That's not a typo ... just a tough one. I'd have to look it up most times to get it right.

I routinely type "an" instead of "and."

This thread actually scares me. I am afraid I am going to read some of your mistakes and start doing them myself.

If it's not teh, it's hte. And the word superintendent is one I always screw up. Did it again just a second ago and had to look it up. Note to self: there is no "a" in superintendent.

I'm a two-fingered typist, so I often hit two keys at once, like m and n.

For some reason I always have to retype thanks at the end of emails. Comes out tanks or thankd.

Heaven forbid I ever have to type the word "associates."

Just doing it now, I automatically hit the "d" at the end. Thanks a lot, AP.

We had a bad one today. The person who did our sports pages (not me) misspelled our town's name in a headline. Two keys right next to each other and he hit the wrong one, then no one caught it while proofreading.
    Oy.

    Forth Worth.

Back in the day, "Devils Rays" instead of Devil Rays. Imagine my relief when they finally changed their name.

I can never type "initial" correctly.
