Couple on verge of losing home because of a non-payment of $1.63 in taxes.

And you want to put these people in charge of your health care?

Ok..I'm confused. Blame the government all you want, but if I'm reading this correctly, Jamie Land Co. is asking for a settlement from the Atwoods when they aren't the ones who fucked up? And they keep pursuing the lawsuit and screwing up these people's lives just because their sweet deal on the tax sale got denied. What a bunch of scumbags.

The government took title to property and sold it without informing the owners it was doing so and with no apparent right to make the sale.
This is the fault of the private company that bought it?
That's the real estate equivalent of shooting the messenger.

The government had the right to sell it, but because of a miscommunication they should not have done so.

The private company had the right to buy it, but upon learning of the circumstances should bow to common decency and quit putting those people through hell.

I have a lot of rights that I don't use, and for good reason.

    C'mon, Two.

That's a non sequitur, and you know it.

Actually, it isn't. Government pretty much fucks up everything it touches. The more government does, the worse off we are. Always.
