I hate this shit. One of the local little leagues has decided not to keep score.

They're all a bunch of fucking pussies.

How do you teach sportsmanship if everybody wins?

I'm willing to bet it's a little bit of both, but leaning toward the city trying to spare feelings as the primary motivation.

Little Man's T-ball team didn't win a single game this year and the coach's grandson was the only one who made All-Stars (all-stars for T-ball? WTF?). But in the end, Little Man had a blast and really started learning how to play. I mean, the kid can actually catch the freaking ball now, something he couldn't do prior to playing.

To me, it was worth every bit of it, and him not winning or making all-stars is so totally secondary to what he GOT out of the experience, no one even cares.

As dumb as cancelling an all-star game to avoid hurting feeling is, I would agree with your "wtf" regarding all all-star game for tee ball. At that age it's supposed be about exactly what you're talking about. Having fun and, if possible, learning how to play.

Having all-stars for T-ball is idiotic. When I played, I think the 10-12 league was the first to have all-stars.
