Of course not. I'll never pay for radio and I wouldn't pay a cent to listen to Charlie Steiner, whom I can't stand.

I was never a Steiner fan either to be honest ... until I listened to his show. Totally unlike anything else he's ever done nationally and completely unlike any sports show you're going to hear on terrestrial radio.

Since XM/Sirius is hellbent on turning itself into terrestrial radio, they dumped intelligence for caveman bullshit like Rob Dibble.

They dumped it to save cash, which they're wasting on Mad Dog Russo's channel.
They gave Bill Pidto a show.
    I rarely listen to 175 but it's a shame.
And BTW, Sirius subs, no baseball games from what I hear, just the Home Plate channel.
    Want MLB, get XM.
I know, they're the same company, but the MLB deal is still XM only.

I was not overwhelmed by Steiner either after his work with the Yankees. but really came to enjoy his work on XM. It fast became one of the few must listen shows during the baseball season. There are very few engaging talk shows on xm - steiner was one of them.

Honestly don't mind Dibble either and the show he does with Kevin Kennedy.

  8. Well, shit. One of my favorite shows on XM.

They're spending Home Plate money on Mad Dog?
GOD, that makes it even worse. Just his promos make me want to drive my car into a goddamn bridge abutment.
I'd rather puncture my eardrums with needlenose pliers than listen to five minutes of Mad Dog. Guhhh.

Good thing you didn't title this thread "Baseball Beat off" because people might have gotten the wrong idea
