If we can have a Yankee/Red Sox running thread, then why not a Blue Jays/Tampa Bay?

Rockies-D'Backs deserve a thread. Or at least to score a few runs so they can avoid extra innings again.

Never thought I'd see the day when NASCAR got the front page of the Sunday Globe sports section while a Yankee-Red Sox doubleheader was relegated to page 12.

I think it got front of NYT as well, with the first game of Yankees-Sox on 3 (down here we get the national edition).

Yet on ESPN, it still gets top billing.

Are we talking rivalry in the they-play-every-year sense? Or are we talking about the whenever-they-play, it's-fucking-nuts sense? If the latter, I'd put Miami-Florida football aboive ND-USC -- Louisville-Kentucky hoops also probably would go above ND-USC.

Yankees-Red Sox. Is it over yet? Ugh.

At this point, I'm not sure anyone cares. We can thank the Red Sox for dulling the series. Imagine the hype had they been in contention for the playoffs.

I swear, if Joe Morgan says "mis-con-screw" one more time, I'm going to fire off an angry e-mail to somebody.
