    Covered a baseball game last night where about 20 MLB scouts were in the stands. All I could think about was this story.

    That was outstanding. Passan is a fuckin stud.

    His Brien Taylor story was also mind-blowingly good.

    Start going back thru the archive and read his stuff from earlier this season. It's almost always top-notch, from Opening Day on. I never read him in K.C. But Passan is a must-read for me now.

    Good piece.

    One thing that always worries me about pieces like that....

    Stuff possibly being made up by the people you are interviewing to make the deceased larger than life.

    I guess that's just my own bugaboo.
