Kevin Harvick has a two-race win streak. Wonder if he'll take next week off? It's in California, and only a couple hours drive from his hometown of Bakersfield.

Martin, it's not like the media just decided to show up for this year's Daytona. It's been this way for a few years now. And the whole idea of NASCAR's "old boys" is a bit off the mark since most of the old-school drivers you're speaking of are no longer racing. There are some still doing it, and doing it well, obviously, as evidenced by Mark Martin's second-place finish (along with Dale Jarrett, Sterling Marlin, Ricky Rudd and a few others), but the "old boy" network to which you're referring isn't really that evident among the drivers.

Plus when ESPN was trying to get the NBA, an NBA game always led off SportsCenter.
