No, but that's the point. The team gets all the publicity now and on the backend, they might get more publicity.
    Pretty brilliant actually.
It ain't disco night but it is much better than the standard minor-league fare of kids run around the base paths or fireworks.

    Can't we combine all four?

Kids run around the bases and have to dodge fireworks and whores while the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack plays.

Wouldn't it be more in the spirit of an Eliot Spitzer Night if they had the men chase the whores around the bases hoping not to get caught by their wives who are busy with the kids watching fireworks with the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack as a backdrop.

    That'll work too. :D

And if the wife catches a husband, he must use the line "honestly, honey, I tripped over the whore and it slipped in."

    Brilliant?

What do they gain from the publicity this gets on March 17 (which will be forgotten before March 23)? In the long run, they'll sell more tickets with kids running around the bases and fireworks.

The buffoon PR guy and/or GM--and in a fly by night league like this, he might be one and the same--has a clip to show his next prospective employer at the winter meetings in Vegas.

    Yeah!! Isn't *that* clever?

Almost as bad as The Macon Whoopee.

    Gad!!
