Thumbing through my XM on the way home, I accidentally hit U-POP, the Euro channel.

It lists James Blunt and before I can hit something, anything, it comes across my radio.

But, it's not his whiny little "You're Beautiful" voice. Not at first, anyway. Rather, it was a generic club beat.

Then, in comes the whiny Blunt voice.

    "You're beauti-fulll, you're beauti-full"

OMFG. It was like a train wreck. My mind wanted to change the channel, but my body wouldn't allow it. It was, quite simply, one of the worst songs I've heard.

It set dance mixes back so far, that it put Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park" up in the same stratosphere with "Yesterday" and "American Pie."

Was somebody trying to be funny when they thought this song would go great with a dance mix?

Thanks for conjuring memories of the dance remix of "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic.

Somebody fucked up Hotel California with a dance remix. Some things are just wrong beyond words.

    You're welcome.

Bruce Springsteen also thanked James Blunt. Maybe now, people can forget about the "Dancin' in the Dark" dance mix.

The 12-inch of 'Run for the Hills' was awful.

They also made a dance mix of Springsteen's "Secret Garden" they used to play in clubs. Does anyone remember that abomination?

The dance re-mixes of Roxette's Listen To Your Heart suck way more balls than the original song, which is quite an accomplishment.

There was that remix of the Cotton Eyed Joe a few years back...
