Every city in America with a professional sports franchise is on this list.

Atlanta is the clear 1, with Miami right there.

Since I used to live in the area, Tampa IS NOT a bad sports town. You're solely looking at the Devil Rays (actually they're in St. Pete not Tampa). Look at the Bucs. Raymond James Stadium is constantly sold out and the waiting list for season tickets is incredibly long. I would know, I used to have a seat there. And if we're not just talking about pro sports, then look at how far USF has come since they started playing football. And lets not forget to mention the incredible following high school sports gets down there.

Boots, this is every major pro franchise city. Everyone gets an equal chance.

Actually I would vote Philly No. 1 for all the reasons you give in support of it.

Where the hell is BOSTON on this list. If there is a sports community that is one of the most overrated fan bases in the nation Boston is definitely in the top five.

I want to vomit whenever I hear sports radio or even the players in Boston saying we have the smartest fans in the country. The loudest and most obnoxious is more like it.

I still think back to the last time I actually went to a Bruins game . . . just when Saku Koivu was battling cancer and playing for Montreal in the FleetCenter at the time and fans started chanting "REHAB" regarding him when he scored a goal. Yeah that's a smart fan base.

And then that friggin moronic "YANKEES SUCK" chant that comes up at any event in Boston - not just in Fenway Park against the Yankees. Even then I think it's stupid, despite the fact this year it may actually be true, but to have it start up at concerts, WWE events, Patriots games, Celtics and Bruins games, and more than likely at family picnics across New England.

God, I can't believe I used to be one of these buffoons.

The poll is about professional sports. And you're supposed to sell out NFL games.

But when you an only draw an average of 16K for baseball -- less than 40 percent of capacity, and that's your other sport, you get a vote from me.

The Lightning did draw well this year, FWIW.

Where the hell is Boston on this list? Nuke this thread if there is no Boston, but NY is at the top of the list.

Good point. Why is Boston somehow the only pro sports city NOT listed here?

The Rays sold out during and shortly after their 13-game win streak three years ago. There's too many other things to do in the area than spend money on a horrendous team. It's cliched but really that simple.

Anaheim should also be on here (Ducks and Angels) unless you actually believe the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim count as Los Angeles.
