Worst movie remake idea I've heard of in a long time

Did anyone read the Wiki page on how the strip ended?

If done correctly, this could be an amazing movie. Annie does not have to be funny, cute and comedic every second of every minute.

I actually clicked some of the links in the references to make sure that was not some crazy edit to the page.

 

Stop supporting them. When these stop making money, they will finally go away. The world doesn't need a shot-for-shot remake of Psycho or an "improvement upon" Planet of the Apes.

 

I don't even want to know what they did with Sandy.

 

Outside of Oceans 11, where they rejiggered the basic story in a most-charming way, you can count the number of engaging, quality remakes of knockout 50s-60s-70s movies on one hand, with fingers left over.

The very idea of remaking The Manchurian Candidate should send the originator of that dubious idea to remedial school, pronto.

 

The Oceans 11 remake was well done. The two sequels were embarrassments.
