    Britt Burns was Carl Pavano when Pavano was in diapers.

    While with the Rockies, Hampton made the All-Star team in his first year and was, for the most part, successful when healthy (and that's been the case with the Braves, as well).
    Denny Neagle, on the other hand, blew 95 percent of the time. He paid someone to blow him the other 5 percent.

    Yeah but Britt Burns was actually a.) good for a while before the trade and b.) legitimately hurt.

    And that you referred to Pavano as being in diapers in 1986, when he was 10. :D

    Even before opening this thread the name that popped into my head was Wayne Garland. If I recall correctly, he's the pitcher being referred to the first time I ever heard of a rotator cuff. Pitched 14 complete games in his last season with the Orioles (20-7), then 21 the next year with the Indians in going 13-19. Managers Frank Robinson (fired during season) and Jeff Torborg combined that year to grind his shoulder down to powder.
