Can it be better than last year?

U.S. is getting to Steve Downie. Guy took a 10 minute misconduct halfway through the second.

And someone should drill Jack Johnson for hitting Sam Gagner from behind.

If you've got XM this game is on channel 204.

That was an ugly hit by Johnson. Gagner looks overmatched as a 17-year-old here.

Pierre McGuire is performing a Dion Phaneuf-like baglick on Cody Franson, a player I'm sure he'd never heard of prior to this tournament.

That was a nasty run by Johnson.

US power play looks disjointed. Can't seem to find any flow. Time to feed the points, send Okposo to the front of the crease and bomb away.

    US PP still sucks...

    Now 0-6.

Bad decision by Johnson ... Toews scores on penalty shot ... Iginla-style ...

Boy, throwing your stick at a guy driving the net is pretty smart, huh? Geez. The American goalie would have made the save fine, but that turns it into a successful penalty shot.

Jonathan Toews gives Canada a 4-2 lead with a penalty shot goal after a US defender threw his stick when Toews had a breakaway...

Is Johnson the same guy with the elbow in the gold-medal game last year? My memory escapes me ...

Not only did Zatgoff stop the orginal shot but he got the rebound too. Great job undone by a stupid decision by Johnson.

What a shot by Toews. Not many guys make that one at that level.

Zeke, the Canadians have some terrific penalty killers and they're playing very aggressively. Price has been there to bail them out when needed.
