    For meaning, fortuitous. It seems to be used exclusively as a mash-up of fortunate and serendipitous, so its own meaning is vanishing.

    For pronunciation, asterisk. It's not asterik. It's not asterix. People who can't manage the syllable "risk" leave me nonplussed.
