I'm going to say this and then run away quickly. I've never seen Red Dawn.

I'm sorry, but our laws require you to also make this post in French.

Rich Rodriguez: GOD-DAMMIT, WHERE'S THE PLAYBOOK?
Justin Boren: They made me swallow it.
Jake Long: Justin, what have you done?
Boren: [nearly in tears] I went into Columbus... and I kind of liked it.
Mario Mannigham: [shaking him and screeching with rage] YOU WENT AND LIKED COLUMBUS! WHY?
Boren: [His voice breaks] You said we couldn't...
Rodriguez: You told them our plays, didn't you? You told them!
Boren: [sobbing] My father said I'd get more playing time. Oh God, they do things you can't imagine.
Rodriguez: [throws him down, growling with rage] AAAAGGHHH! You SON OF A BITCH!

Actually, the logical one to be far behind would be the Flamingo Kid.

Red Dawn was the first movie ever released with a PG-13 rating. The Flamingo Kid got tagged PG-13 first, but it was released a few months after Red Dawn.

Anyway, I vote for "The Flamingo Kid: The Musical" remake.

About five years ago there was a movie called Love Don't Cost a Thing that was a remake of the 1987 Patrick Dempsey movie Can't Buy Me Love.

Hopefully they'll have a couple MILFish roles for her and Lea Thompson.

Who plays the role Powers Boothe had in the original? And speaking of remaking one of his movies, how about Southern Comfort revisited?

Red Dawn meets Escape from New York (or its sequel).
Manhattan and San Francisco are POW camps. The gangs are the "prison guards". The Russians (or Al-Quaida or whomever) have to invade the islands to free their leaders.

I guess Harry Dean Stanton will be too old for a role in this one.

Complete with Leningrad Cowboys and the Red Army choir.

It's a shame Sergey Eisenstein isn't around to direct it.
