If it doesn't have the original music, the luster is diminished...

It will actually probably retail for less than that in the stores.

TVshowsondvd.com lists Simpsons episodes at $49.98. But I have never seen it cost that much at Best Buy, etc. Usually the first week is $29.99 and after that, it's around $35.

Absolutely right, Slappy. Any news on whether this has all the music?

It won't, that's what held it up from being released to begin with.

Well, good to see they're at least thinking about what music to replace with. Some of the reruns on TV just made no sense with the replacement songs.

I never realized that the famous Turkeys episode was just the seventh in the show's history. That shows how damn good the writers/cast were from the very beginning.

what's your best episode? i think i'm going with the one where johnny and venus do the alcohol/reflex demostration on air (johnny gets more sober with each drink), which i think is the same episode in which herb dresses up as the WKRP carp.

  9. Very underrated ep. A reporter from Cincinnati Magazine is at the station doing a story on the format change. In addition to the drunk-driving-reflex test, and the fight between Herb the Carp and the WPIG pig -- "Get your fin off me!" -- we also have Bailey in the men's room and Venus in a fishing hat.

I plan on getting this April 3.
Now they need to get the third season of the White Shadow out on DVD.
