    How about churches we don't like? Can we punish them?

    at least take away their tax free status or put them on par with other benevolent-charitable organizations.

    If a church has a CEO who's ever outsourced anything, it should be first in line for this punishment.

    The Red Cross has a building next to a Catholic Church, does the Red Cross and Cathloic pay property taxes on the same bsis?

    Wouldn't both be exempt from property taxes? Am I missing something?

    I believe Church buildings should be exempt from property taxes, but do not believe any building owned by a Church should be exempt.

    Trinity Church still owns a ton of property in lower Manhattan, and all of it is tax exempt. If you own an office building that is a huge money maker, you should be paying property taxes on it.

    I'm under the beleif that chritable organizations pay property tax but at the lowest rate. CHurches are exempt, unike non profits
