Federer was distracted by the Swiss soccer team playing in the World Cup. He'll cruise today.

Shriver is crass and compounds her problem by never showing any empathy toward those who find fault with her.

Last year at U.S. Open she was conducting a post-match interview with Carolina Wozniacki after her quarterfinal win and said, "Now your the OVERWHELMING favorite against Yanina WICKMAYER of Belgium", and she spit out the name "Wickmayer" in a foul, condescending manner. The U.S. Open crowd started booing . . . and then Shriver innocently asks, "What'd I say?"

Before that she had begun her interview with Melanie Oudin (who had lost to Wozniacki) by telling the crowd, "Normally we don't interview the loser, but . . . "

And at the same U.S. Open, she was interviewing Oudin's little sisters, who were wearing shits that said "BELIEVE." After a brief chat, she covered the eyes (with her hands) of the 9-year old sister and asked her to spell "BELIEVE". The 9-year old girl (nervous about being on camera and given a blindfolded pop quiz) misspelled the word and Shriver noted the error for all and left the 9-year old mouth agape and visibly embarrassed.

During an interview with Michael Phelps where she asked him TWICE to strip down to his speedos. Gee, imagine if Dan Hicks had made the same request to Dara Torres.

If it's possible for one person to personify the "ugly American" stereotype, it's Shriver.

The John Isner match is another example of why the tiebreaker was invented. Ugh!

This is one day I'm actually happy working split shifts. The soccer match and this Wimbledon match have been riveting.

Meanwhile, Federer just lost the second set to some qualifier named Bozoliac.

Mahut and Isner have played 69 games in the fifth set today without a service break.

Now 35-35, so they'll get to at least 72 games in the set.

Theoretically, this could turn out to be like a cricket match and take a week.
