William Kristol out at the NYT?

    I agree. Plus, as much of a nut people think he is on the right, it sure adds a little balance to the NYT op-ed pages.

    To be fair, some would say recent events in Iraq have shown a glimmer of light for Kristol and his neoconservative brethren, and suggested that their knee-jerk left-wing critics were afflicted with short-termism, at best, in their analysis of the situation.

    But that'll have to be my last word on this subject, as it's now become a discussion of politics, rather than journalism, and I don't talk politics on this board anymore.

    If those critics are afflicted by short-termism and knee-jerkitude (and I'm not convinced they are), it's fair to assume they caught those diseases from Bill Kristol, who works in journalism.

    See, I brought it back to journalism. :)
