This probably helps him in Godless Blue State America.

Honestly, the best he can hope for is second billing on the ticket and that probably wasn't going to happen anyway. I'd project him as HRC's secretary of state if, God help us, it comes to that.

Are you implying that the god-fearing red-staters don't pick up hookers or go to brothels?

Considering he already doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell...

The democrats are a three-horse race...

Four if you can't the looming spectre of Al Gore, though with each passing week, I am less confident he'll jump in the race.

It shouldn't. But he wasn't going to win anyway.

I thought this was about Nolan Richardson or Sugar Ray Richardson.

Nolan's coaching Team Mexico at the Olympic Qualifier in Vegas later this month.

How do you say 40 minutes of hell in Spanish? Cuarenta minutos del infierno?

I'm not a huge Richardson fan, but I'd like to see him as Sec. of State.

It just occurred to me that a Democrat other than Edwards wins the presidency, it would be the first time since 1960 that the Dems win with someone other than a Southern white man as the nominee.

That would be interesting if "white man" didn't apply to every winning president. It's only the Southern that is unique.

And what makes it interesting now is that there's a much better than two-thirds chance that a white man won'd be the Democratic nominee, which was part of writing's point.
