Will Lidle's death make Francesa less of a jerk?

If the Mods want to merge this, fine, but I thought this was too good to get lost in the Lidle thread...really good piece from Newsday's Neil Best about Francesa feeling bad about his contentious/arrogant/uppity/condescending/fill in negative adjective here exchange with Lidle on WFAN Monday:

Francesa's last words to Lidle: "I haven't thought much about you at all, to be honest with you."

Nice job Mike. Classy as always.

My guess is no, Francesa will not change and yes, he will be just as insufferable as before. You can't teach an old Dog--or his partner--new tricks.

    The interview in question:

October 9th - Chris and Mike talked to Yankees Pitcher Cory Lidle

Francesa probably feels bad about his last words, but no. The fat little toad won't change...

Now how would you feel if he died tomorrow?

Probably a lot better than Francesa should feel tonight...

The guy gets his jollies hurting people in a large, public forum.

I wouldn't bat an eyelash if he got smoked.

Yeah, Fatso'll feel bad, for approximately 48 hours.

    But don't worry . . .
    he'll get over it.

Except for the better interviews, the show's wholly unlistenable.

If you want to learn how to be stupid, just listen to those two pontificate.

Francesa once began his show a few years ago by saying he was turning over a new leaf, and would respect people from now on, including callers, etc, etc.

Within a few days, it was back to business as usual.

Remember that rant, too, Suburbanite. He went on a rant in an interview with someone, either Raissman or Mushnik, about that, too. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I still think JT the Brick makes those two look like MENSA members.
