Why no mention of this Steelers' story?

There is no story here. Go back and look at the last 20 teams to go to the White House and every one of them has someone missing. Weren't there seven U.S. Ryder Cup players (out of 12) who showed up a couple of months ago?

 

The only relevance I saw was Harrison's rationale that the only reason they were invited was because they won the Super Bowl. No kidding?

In his world, I guess the Lions would be making the trip to the White House this week.

You are correct that the term is thrown out there too easily. I don't think this is one of those cases, though I do hope I'm wrong about Harrison and the incident with the girlfriend is the last we'll ever hear about that side of him.

On the dais after the Steelers beat the Cardinals, Harrison probably said indignantly to Roger Goodell, "You only give us this trophy when we win the Super Bowl."

 

Arizona State should offer him an honorary degree just to make everything right in the world.

 

I like the idea of calling Harrison a "vicious ruffian" from here on out.

 

He's the one in a hundred that was not accepted.
