  3. So does anyone know why guys wore eye-shades in every old-timey depiction of newspapermen? And how come we can't keep press cards shoved in our hats anymore? And is it too much to ask that the pressbox offer some decent scotch?

    Did you ever see the hot-type compositors put together the lines of type? I did. That was one hell of a skill.
     
  10. i could be wrong, but i believe agate is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the civil war era.
