    His columns are essentially the obvious jokes about the news that you hear from friends who think they're funny.

    Met a Swiss guy a few years younger than me at a brewery -- only one in Honduras, by the way -- near San Pedro Sula two weeks ago who got pretty close to this. He's a C&C machine programmer. Works five months out of the year, travels six. He'd been in South and Central America for four months when I met him.
