You get into dangerous territory when airing departmental dirty laundry.

 

He absolutely should not have been publicizing the concerns he had about the doctoral student and her teaching. If they fire his ass -- and they probably should -- he has only himself to blame.

Why do you keep bringing up things that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand?

James Tracy is suing FAU.

1). He still has his blog and does podcasts so I don't see how his free speech rights have been affected.

2). Libel, which is what accusing Lenny Pozner of some very serious crimes without a shred of evidence to back up those accusations is, is not protected free speech.

 

You'd think a tenured professor of communications would have enough of a working knowledge of the Constitution to know freedom of speech refers to only what the government can't do. Amazing so many smart people get this so wrong. Firing him sure as hell didn't make him shut up. Blogs, podcasts and any public street corner of town square are available to him.

 

I hope the Pozners sue him someday.
I also hope he gets some court-ordered psychiatric treatment.
