    I came here because a co-worker told me there was a thread about a job he knew I had applied for. Found out that the sports editor lied to me thanks to SportsJournalists.com, so I was in kind of an angry place when I started to post here. Apparently, that never really changed. :)

  5. Perspective and learning for me. Felt like I didn't learn much of what it took to be a sports journalist in journalism school, but real-life experience helped a ton. I consider this an extension of that.

    I originally came here years ago looking for jobs, but I never posted. Recently I started a blog so I've been reading a lot more here in the hopes that I might pick up a few pointers.
