Don't we celebrate that the other 364 days a year?

We have it so I can have yet another day to remember I picked a shitty profession that gets to work when everyone else in the country is shouting "three day weekend"

I think in honor of Oggie's post, we should have a Fnord Day

So we know when to expect shitty traffic on highways teeming with kids in backseats slobbering on themselves while their parents attempt to hide their rage and irritation with eachother in the front of the vehicle. Mom and dad blaming the other for suggesting the goddamn getaway in the first place, along with depleting the checking account in order to purchase t-shirts proclaiming they spent time in a Myrtle Beach-type t-shirt shop worked by morons like Snookie.

Partly because of unions that priced themselves out of market and forced American companies to move their plants to other countries.

    Agree 100 percent.

It's too bad more union freeloaders aren't willing to work for 10 cents an hour like their go-getting foreign counterparts.

Labor Day honors the shop stewards who sent those factories overseas!

The unions aren't dumb. Do you know how much shipping and labor is involved in packing up and moving a factory overseas?

So management can have another 3-day weekend in the Hamptons.
