Fuck yeah ... Meniketti, Halford, Dio, Tate, Dokken ... I think I wet myself a little when Yngwie started playing, too.

    Ah, to be young again.

An under-rated and nearly forgotten about "benefit" record from that era:

Anytime you can get Run DMC, Eddie Kendrick & David Ruffin, Bruce, Bono, Lou Reed, Joey Ramone, and others together on one beneift disc you know it's going to be good.

Apparently there has been more than one incarnation of Band Aid.
    Huh, who knew?

That Hear n Aid bit is hysterical. You make a heavy metal benefit video and invite Spinal Tap.
    Awesome.

How can you have a conglomeration of Jersey artists without Eddie Rabbit?

Word on the man in the mask. Totally.

First benefit I believe was the Concert for Bangladesh organized by George Harrison.

There were two concerts at Madison Square Garden in '71 and performers included Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Ringo Starr and Ravi Shankar.

I have the vinyl somewhere. There was also a doc.
