Does Tebow have to start at QB?

I think Manning misses the first month of the season. Barring an injury, I don't think Tebow ever starts at QB again for the Broncos.

Irsay tweeted this morning that Manning will be out "awhile"

In NFL terms, I say that means eight games minimum.

  7. I could see a situation where the Broncos get off to a slow start and after the 6th game of the season or so the team bends to fan pressure to start Tebow.

Is Tebow even the No. 2 QB in Denver? Hell, I read something that said he was the fourth best QB in camp, but that they weren't going to cut a former first-round pick in favor of an undrafted free agent.

  9. I think they had to bury Tebow on the depth chart to head off a QB controversy. If Tebow was still listed as the #2 then every day there would be calls to make him the starter. By dropping him to #3 (and I'm not saying Quinn hasn't earned the right to be #2) then those calls are silenced by the "he's not even #2 retorts".

I can also see the scenario where Manning is out for the season and Tebow starts 1 game at the end of the season.

I can see that. Because if Manning is going to be out for eight games, unless they're in playoff contention, it may make more sense for him to sit out the season.

Any chance Indianapolis trades for Tebow?

Signing Favre out of retirement is about 100 times more likely.
