And under the age of 35.

To which then we'd be hearing the GOP complain that the Constitution practices age discriminiation.

I'd be stunned if it's not Bob McDonnell. Absolutely stunned. The GOP needs to win Virginian back. He's evangelical, former military, and has generally governed like the kind of Republicans the political middle like. The only way it's someone else is if the nominee feels like they have to outright pander to some sort of sub group, the way McCain chose Palin hoping to pick off upset Democratic women. It'll absolutely be McDonnell. If he were allowed to run for governor in Virginia again (only one consecutive term allowed) even I would probably vote for him if I lived there. He's conservative without the crazy, save for that college paper several years back that'll pop up, cause a ruckus, and then be a non-factor.

Daddy Bush is still eligible to serve a term as Vice President.

In fact, as long as Romney resigned after Jan. 20, 2015, GHWB would be eligible to serve out the rest of his term, and then be re-elected in 2016.

He could be the John Glenn of the White House.

Maybe Obama will ditch Biden for Jimmy Carter. :D

No offense to anyone who attended Regent . . . but this was just more Sanctimonious-style / women should stay at home, barefoot and pregnant . . . that horse left the barn a long, long time ago, and it isn't coming back -- thank God.

I like Ryan a lot. His knowledge of the budget would be beneficial to whoever candidate is running against Obama.

As much as Time would like you to believe otherwise, with its "Person of the Year" nomination and general man-crush, now might not be the best time to ask America to embrace the let's-end-Medicare candidate.

One doddering old codger for another. An overall wash.

Back to Daddy Bush, he could serve out the remnant of Willard-Mitt's term from 2015-2017, get reelected in 2016, then the Mittster could return in triumph in 2020, and resume office in 2021, when he will REALLY be prime age for a GOP candidate.

Meanwhile, Neil Bush is still awaiting his turn. He could run in 2024, when HE would be entering the optimal age window (69) for the Baggers.

Rubio? About 2044 should be his best shot.

Why not Scott Walker? He has plenty of time on his hands and I hear he has an in with the Koch Brothers, if they need some extra cash for the ticket!

He might be in jail by November, or possibly sooner.

Yeah but if you think it'll hinder McDonnell at the national level, you're nuts. Yes, it'll become an issue again and lead to discussion. But it'll hardly disqualify him. That shit was written a long time ago.
