    He was all over the field but just did not have the size to play in the NFL. It was a time when the 5-2 was in vogue. DE was the most important position on D to stop the VEER and Bone. I believe he was drafted late by The Cowboys but never played.

    One other name from that Bama Era comes to mind - Woodrow Lowe.

    Lowe and Bennett are the only three-time, first-team All-Americans in Bama history. Making first-team as a sophomore really meant something back then, because half of the stud seniors weren't already in the NFL.
