    What makes it good, Mizzou?
    Acting? Scenery? Plot?
Just wondering because I passed on this film -- to see another -- and it was because the short review I read was not exactly boasting the movie as the "best of the year."

The movie, in part because it's British, in part because of Jason Statham and in part because of the dialogue I've seen, strikes me as similar in style as 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells' and 'Snatch'.

    Am I way off here?

I don't think it's as stylish as Smoking Barrell's or Snatch... It's a historical bank heist film, Statham is great. It's not as if there have been a ton of great films this year, but this one was definitely under the radar and I thought it was fantastic...

    The acting is really strong.

any similarities, beyond the title, to The Italian Job?

None that have wowed me. But I did enjoy "Vantage Point" and "Cloverfield."

88 Minutes was shot about 2-3 years ago and had been shelved for the whole time... It was availabe on the net about 18 months ago. I watched about 20 minutes of it and then just stopped... It was that bad...

Granted, I haven't seen every Pacino film, but if any were worse than this one, I can't think of them...

The movie also has the smoking hot Saffron Burrows in it.
I find her extremely watchable. I even came across some vampire movie she was in and I sat and watched the whole thing. Just because of her.

She is very good (and hot) in this film.
