    Didn't they though?
Portland has turned in a very good season this year, but plug Durant in there and what might you have?
Ponder what might have been the starting lineup tonight in the Portland-Knicks game:
PG: Andre Miller, SG: Brandon Roy, SF: Kevin Durant, PF: LaMarcus Aldridge, C: Marcus Camby

Already a solid group without him, but with him, watch out.

The thinking at the time around the league was that Oden was a better choice. Doesn't really absolve any blame. Oden got injured before even playing in a game at OSU. He also was constantly in foul trouble, maknig him a project in an NBA game where guys like Dwyane Wade and Gilbert Arenas draw fouls without even being touched. I remember in a summer game when he had like eight or nine fouls.
Imagine a core of Aldridge, Roy and Durant. Does the fact that their center is Przybilla matter at that point?

I remember that as well – and it wasn't because he was being crazy aggressive, it was because he was constantly out of position and too slow. Perhaps the bum knee that eventually led to that first micro surgery had something to do with that.

Oden's already making porn, isn't he?
