You know BYH isn't around if he let this one go. I'll fill in. Martin should not be borderline. He should be a lock.

He should already be in which is different than lock.

Agree. I think people forget how effective he was, and how many numbers he put up. The NFL HoF tends to be more conservative with membership though, at least IMO. Cris Carter is still on the outside, isn't he?

Rich Gannon before McNabb, also Ken Anderson and Danny White were better QBs than McNabb. Phil Simms?
    Daryle Lamonica?

  6. Martin's career rushing average (4.0 or more accurately 4.01) ranks 77th of 107 guys in NFL history with 5,000 or more rushing yards.

No RB who played in the last 25 years has gotten into the Hall of Fame with a yards-per-carry that low.

Agree, but for a lineman to merit serious consideration he has to be dominant for at least a decade. So he's halfway there...

    Tebow should be in already.

Martin was a finalist in his first year of eligibility. That is very much a signal he will be inducted and rightly so.

Induction is in a lockbox in Gainesville, buried under his statue.

Hi, meet John Riggins and his 3.9 yard per carry average.
