Florida teen Jennifer Mee, who suffered from continuous hiccups for 5 weeks, has gone missing. Her mother has notified the authorities.

The police department are searching Jennifer’s known hangouts and issued a “be on the lookout” advisory to police departments throughout Florida. The detective assigned to the case could not be reached for comment.

This cries out for a joke, but let's make sure the girl is safe first.

That's bizarre; back in the 1980s, there was a reporter at Missouri's student newspaper named Jennifer Mee. Wonder if there's any relation.

You know, I';d rather have five weeks of the hiccups than the albatross I have now...

Sure, the one time I try to show some restraint, I'm the only one not cracking a joke. Dammit.
Oh well, here goes one: With a name like Jennifer Mee, I'm sure she's just doing this for attention.

Last seen upside down, drinking a glass of water.

I knew Poindexter would make a crack here. I knew it and it was still funny.

When I have hiccups, I breathe through my nose. Kills them 99 percent of the time.

Hiccups for five straight weeks? Good God would that suck. Good luck to this unfortunate soul.

    GONE MISSING?

No, she was missing.. she didn't "go missing."

Can we ever write anything in English any more?
