Can we send Chan Ho Park back to the NL where he can get people out?

That makes me think that it was a legitimate reason. You have to think somebody in the media knows and chose to respect his privacy. The media in general certainly respected it by not harping on the issue.

And what the heck has happened to Joba? Everytime I look up, I see him giving up a run. Where did the guy who was throwing 98 mph go?

    I thought about that too.

Maybe they told folks off the record what was going on, and the press acknowledged that it wasn't important to report on.

Or at least not important enough to violate the man's privacy.

How come the same logic never is applied to A Rod by NY media?

In fairness, you could say that A Rod draws more attention to himself.

Do I really have to explain the difference to you?

Eiland's been let go. Can't find a link, but Yankee writers have "tweeted" it.

Wally Mathews says that Cashman called the reason for his dismissal "private".

Was it because the pitching sucked? Was it related to his disappearance during the season, or is he the one who gave A.J. Burnett the black eye?

Cashman says it was his call, won't give reason.

    This is bizarre:

When you put it like that, it sounds like it's personal or ethical reasons.

Kind of tough to expect another team to hire him when you won't say why you got rid of him despite his being a, "terrific pitching coach."

Eiland's going to have to put out a statement quickly if he's going to salvage his reputation.

    YankeeFan,

Guarantee other teams know what's going on.
