if you went to a dotcom, why would you ever want to switch over to newspapers for god's sake? if it were me, i'd focus on climbing the dotcom ladder and not jumping on the sinking ship.

Am visiting a resume specialist Monday morning - as Keith Richards would say, I want to walk before they make me run. Mrs. T. pulled off a good midlife career change, and I'm preparing myself to if needed.
Even if it's just stringing together some small Internet-at-home writing and editing jobs and bartending (back to school this week). a good resume can highlight skills that can be applied elsewhere can help open some doors. Even if I'm not forced to take a buyout and survive possible layoffs, I'm making my peace with getting out of Dodge.
As the fellow above me might say, the future's wide open.
