Yeah, he really threw him under a bus.

  2. Yeah, Chris, that's a real big issue in this campaign. A flag pin? Jesus H. Christ.

Wow thanks for the tip. I've been wondering what has gone wrong in Washington. It sounds like this book has the answer.

Since he is now wearing one his handlers must think it's a big deal . Last week he had on lapel pin with both US and Israeli
    flags. Can you say pandering.

If you want to start parsing what each candidate says in off-the-cuff remarks or town hall-type settings, McCain seems to have a big problem in this area.

He lies. And flip-flops. And gets confused on basic facts about major national issues. And if I wanted to, I could find about 25 YouTube examples in 10 minutes.

  7. I think it shows a lack of character.

He takes heat for his church of 20 years and for weeks he defends the church. Then suddenly he drops the church like a hot potato[e]. For weeks he makes it a point of not wearing a pin saying he'd show his patriotism in other ways and then suddenly he's wearing a pin every where he goes. Even in this video clip about Jim Johnson - he's seemly defending him and then shortly thereafter Jim Johnson is dropped from the campaign.

It's telling how with just a little pressure from the press - Obama folds his tent.

Actually, Obama often wore the flag pin before any "controversy" was stirred up. He just didn't wear it all the time -- and he doesn't now, either.

    Get your facts straight.

This is always the point in the campaign where the democrat nominee starts to listen too much to their handlers. What seemed to be genuine 6 months ago now seems contrived.

  11. Maybe you know more than TIME Magazine

So he stopped wearing it as a protest against the Iraq war and now he's wearing one again. Does that mean now he's for the war in Iraq? And BTW - what's with the "make this country great" lines he keeps tossing out there? Does this man and his wife believe that the US was not great until they came along?

This thread is clearly targeted at the dumbest guys in the room.

And since everyone (well except people like the Swiftboater cheerleaders and their ilk) has concluded that Fredo is arguably the worst President in recent history, Bush supporters---who should be embarrassed by the last eight years---are dragging flag pins into the political debate.

Pathetic doesn't begin to describe this silliness.

And the "lack of character" talking point is rich. As if anyone in that administration had any to begin with.
