When school lets out for summer, hunger begins

I wonder how many private schools feed children over the summer?

 

Redefinition of good nutrition. That's one solution.

 

Exactly. We don't live in a communist state. Parents provide your children food, or else it's time for someone to take your kids away.

 

What kind of state would that be then?

 

maybe the parents are working 2 or 3 low paying part time jobs because employers don't want the hassles of full time employees and benefits like when America was great in the 50's. Tough to return the values that made America great when the corporations that run the country don't want to go back to the good old days. The car industry, coal industry, domestic appliance manufacturing industry, oil production, ship building, mining, large retail stores all had full time employees, with benefits and retirement plans and America was great. But its more important to keep artificial stock prices up than to run a profitable business that has good employees who can afford to live in middle class America.

 

A state where parents are responsible for their damn kids? Probably not Texas or California.....
