As a Democrat, I only used the blue font and the grin to be a wise-ass. Compared to the other disasters on the ballot, that pales in comparison (at least in the short term)

  4. IG?s, bringing the Win Share statistic to the disaster thread. Nice.

    (By the way, I agree.)

Isn't there some journalism school acorn about 50 dead Americans = 200 dead Europeans = 1,000 dead in South America and Africa = 5,000 in Asia?

Maybe we should seed this thing like the Little League World Series?

Many years ago, my girlfriend and I drove from NJ to Vermont for a friend's wedding.
It was kind of an on-again, off-again relationaship, and we were both looking at this trip as a chance to reconnect.
The trip was awful, and the relationship came to a bitter end at the Molly Pitcher Rest Stop on the NJ Turnpike.

Waterworld and Isiah Thomas' tenure as Knicks GM needs to make this list.

The real answer is on here already, I think, but I'll throw in the Carter administration just to be fair and, um, balanced.

Long term too... and I knew you were being a wise-ass. I, myself, have been accused of that once or twice. Sadly, in this case it's serious.

For the sheer stupidity of all involved, I'm going with the 1989 Hillsborough Stadium disaster as a top man-made disaster.

Sure, just about 100 people died, but it was a fucking slaughter. Those poor people had no chance. The more I read about this event, the angrier I get - and I'm not even British.
