Mine is "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts... It was the first week of a six-week run at the top of the chart.

Apparently Sheb Wooley's "Purple People Eater" had just overtaken the Everly Brothers' "All I Have to Do is Dream" back in June 1958 when I was born.

In the fall of '64 when I was entering kindergarten, The Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go" was followed by Roy Orbison's "Oh, Pretty Woman" before regaining the top of the charts with "Baby Love." Wow.

When I was entering high school, it was the pre-disco Bee Gees with "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart." When I graduated, it was Wings' "Silly Love Songs."

By the time I left for 'Cuse in the fall of '76, it was the disco Bee Gees with "You Should Be Dancing."

No wonder some of my most pleasant memories are from kindergarten.

The Archies started a four week run with Sugar, Sugar when I was born.

It would have been cooler if it was The Rolling Stones who were knocked out the week before.

Has anyone ever done an average age for this board?

There are people I assumed were around my age, but now it seems like they are at least a decade younger.

    This is the pre-rock era.

    I kid you not.

"Maggie May" when I graduated from university.

"Money for Nothing" when son #1 was born.

Mine was "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds" but the Elton John version.

Steve Winwood's "Higher Love" when I entered middle school

Paula Abdul's "Cold Hearted" was No. 1 when I entered high school

Janet Jackson's "That's the Way Love Goes" when I graduated high school

Sean Paul's "Get Busy" when I finally got around to graduating from college.

Started Kindergarden: "Every Breath You Take" The Police
Tried out for and made the cheerleading squad: "Vogue" Madonna (bet you can't guess what we did one of the routines to)
Met husband: "One Sweet Day" Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men
Married husband:"Un-break My Heart" Tony Braxton
Realized the true assoholic potential of the above mentioned: "Promiscuous" Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland
And when that was relized tenfold: "Big Girls Don't Cry" Fergie

Now I'm not one to believe in horoscopes or anything like that, but it is kind of funny how the last few kind of fit my story.
