He might still be a standout, but he wouldn't have nearly as many catches. Not sure any position has benefitted as much statistically from changes in the game as TE. They simply get far more balls thrown to them in today's offensive systems than the old ones where they were blockers first, recievers second.

As long as Romo is Dallas' QB, Witten will get catches. Although Roy Williams is finally starting to redeem himself, not that the win-loss record reflects that.
