    Doesn't that also describe golf?

I've been fascinated by the number of sports talkers who waded into the World Cup mocking it, suddenly becoming "uber-experts" (once they saw the ratings and social media impact) ripping various players and acting like they've been aficionados for years.

Was it published anywhere other than on her own website?

If not, why the fuck are people paying any attention to it? Shit, you might as well also hang out at Info Wars and wait for Alex Jones to bless you with his "wisdom."

I thought it was gravediggers kicking skulls. Which later moved on to kicking cow bladders from one town to another.

It was. Clarion-Ledger in Mississippi ran it for sure. It's a syndicated column so I don't know how many papers actually used it but it was out there to be used.

I think this is one of the biggest reasons why so many people don't like soccer.

"Yeah, it's not really my thing."

"But, it's the most popular sport in the world."

    "So what?"

"It's the fastest growing sport among children."

"Right, because 5-year-olds don't play Pop Warner."

    "You just don't understand it."

"I understand it. I just don't like it. I find it boring."

"If you understood it, you wouldn't find it boring."

"I'd rather watch preseason NFL than the World Cup."

(Falls into the fetal position and sobs uncontrollably.)

She doesn't even get the ribbon part right. The awards don't come until after the season. And every player gets a trophy. Did no one fact check this thing?
