What Is Going On? Where Is Everybody?

As of almost 10 a.m. on Sunday, there are only three threads in here that have been posted on since midnight. In the good old days, I used to wake up to track down the many wonderful topics that came up over night.

Add to the mix that IJAG (by her own assertion) and apparently several other more-than-regulars are missing and I apparently missed a mass exodus (or massive lengthy vacation) by the founding fathers (and sisters).

So. . . . what happened? Where are they?

 

I'd like to know too. Depressing.

The place has become like that last outpost in Apocalypse Now by the Do Long Bridge. We've
been cast adrift with no leadership.

 

Many of us actually have lives now and we're sleeping at night (and early Sunday morning).

 

Some may have taken root at the other funny farm. I think many are knee-deep into the hijinks at Reddit. Others drifted away like debris down the river. Some have changed handles here, and by some I mean a lot.

It's still a fun place. Old regulars still show up -- Double Down, IJAG, etc etc.

We mourn for the past even though the present is right now.

 

Probably off repairing coffee machines, reading law briefs, and masturbating.

 

Save for the "Random Images" thread, I've been mostly a lurker for the past couple of years.

Seems I get jumped on every time I dare voice my opinion on any topic.

That and the horribly one-sided politics are not worth the hassle.

 

Perhaps all at the same time.

 

What the last three posters said are pretty darn good reasons.

A general loss of civility makes a lot of this no fun. You shouldn't have to think about getting pounced on when you visit.

 

I get my politics elsewhere. I'm here for the sports and perv, I mean poin.

 

It was the Rapture. You didn't make it.

I did, but FioS hasn't made its way to heaven yet, so we're having to fight for crummy wifi at the coffee shop up here.

 

I'm here for fun, not to win a Peace Prize.
But now that I am in law school I've not much time to post.
