    Espo is known for wearing 7. Bourgue gave up the number so it could be retired and wore 77.

    Also, 33 is Bird.

    Esposito wore 77 with the Rangers because 7 was retired for Rod Gilbert.

    I just don't think there's a wrong answer in this thread. Kevin Pritchard isn't an all-time great by any stretch of the imagination, but for me personally if you say No. 14 his jersey is the first one that comes to mind.

    If you turned 12 in 1989, then Bo Jackson in a black 34 or blue 16 jersey is an image seared in your brain.

    Good list, aside from 34. I agree with others who said it has to be Sweetness.

    Funny thing is, Bubby Brister also came to mind for 6 when I saw the thread, though it makes a little more sense coming from me.

    Lemieux with 66 and Gretzy with 99 were the first two that popped into my head.

    And to add one that I hadn't seen yet.
